Bridget’s Dance Academy was founded by Bridget Rowsey in 2009, with our first official season beginning in 2010.

What started as a dream has grown into a thriving dance family that continues to evolve year after year.

Over the past 16 seasons, BDA has proudly outgrown three studio spaces in the Huntington area, including our third location, a custom-built, state-of-the-art facility. As our dancers and programs continue to grow, so does our vision. We are currently working toward our fourth and hopefully final custom, state-of-the-art building, with plans to move in by 2027.

Along the way, we had the privilege of expanding into Putnam County with a second location in Hurricane, West Virginia. For three incredible seasons, we served dancers and families in the Hurricane community, creating lasting memories, building meaningful relationships, and sharing our love of dance. While that chapter has come to a close, we are grateful for the impact those years had on our studio family and the many dancers who were part of it.

Giving back to our community is at the heart of what we do. We are proud to offer free dance programs that provide access and opportunity to dancers in our area, helping ensure that every student has the chance to grow in confidence, find their voice, and feel proud of who they are becoming.

At Bridget’s Dance Academy, growth has always been about more than space. It is about building confidence, nurturing each dancer’s potential, and creating a place where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to become their very best both on and off the stage.
